FEATURES
Access
All facilities are built with loading dock doors at optimal height for easy access to trailers and containers and are protected from the elements.
Equipment
All facilities have forklifts to provide lifting capacity and are squeeze clamp and slip-sheet capable. Cranes are available inside and outside the warehouse along with other container decking equipment.
Computerization
EDI communications are utilized to allow customers to monitor their freight. The warehousing system ties the entire customer driven elements of the freight; i.e. shipping programs, and routine inventory cycle counts, etc into an easily accessible PC or mainframe based package.
Palletize and Stretch Wrap
The warehouses have the capacity to palletize, stretch wrap, price, repack and monitor for quality control of our customers‘ merchandise.
Security
The facilities are equipped with E.S.F.R sprinkler systems and have a human guard on the perimeter and within the facility 24/7. The truck yard areas are fenced and secured. Electronically, the facilities are equipped with interior and exterior alarms, cameras, sensors and motion detectors to immediately detect any “violation.”
The TCC-Command and Control Center
In addition to operating specific warehousing services in several key U.S. locations, Pacer Distribution Services Inc. offers "The TCC" - command and control center.
A Transportation Control Center (TCC) is the turnkey solution providing all the components needed for our customers’ transportation systems. Specifically, a TCC is a centralized transportation control point that is located at the customer's or Pacer's location. The TCC contains a dedicated staff including management, technical transportation staff, customer service and MIS.
The TCC allows the client to utilize Third Party Vendor Management to maximize their logistics resources. Pacer Distribution Services, Inc. will procure and manage the assets needed to accomplish the client's goals; the services include cross-docks, drop lots, private and dedicated fleets, purchased transportation, brokered freight, ocean, and intermodal carriers.
